submitted by Arthur S. - |Recommended: NoReally wanted to fall in love here... — Beautiful complex, but the tenants are a little to young minded for my taste incompliance with wearing masks, party mentality and the sound proofing wasnt all to great - I could hear every footstep that my neighbor above me took in their apartment in my own.

submitted by Carlissia G. - |Recommended: YesGood, but could be better with more attention to detail — I hope my experience is being tainted by COVID and not an indication of the complex at its best. Shotty construction on this property. Speaking more for my unit and not the public spaces. Good materials, but the construction crew did a piss poor job and there are imperfections everywhere. Some of which I've had to take care of myself because maintenance crew aren't allowed in units during COVID shelter in place. My main issue is that no one did a thorough inspection of the unit before I moved in, especially considering I had to move-in sight unseen, which would have allowed the maintenance crew access to fix issues beforehand and avoided this altogether. Also, the kitchen doesn't follow standard construction practices as verified by my father who is a developer , the awkward placement of the closet, dishwasher and stove doesn't allow space for a standard dining table or kitchen island and creates the worst spatial gaps ever. A fact I'm sure the construction design crew recognized at some point since this is one of the few 2bed 2bath units without a matching kitchen island in the unit - because it can't fit I had workmen over and they were denied access to guest parking even though there's a whole level dedicated to retail, leasing, guest parking. Sound is an issue - I hear everything from the unit above, music from units down the hall, and folks traversing through hallways. That may be somewhat attributed to the youthfulness of the residential population, but the thin walls don't do much to help. There is construction sometimes in the building, but we don't get any heads up to allow us to plan our day. Given that everyone is working from home, this matters a lot. People have conference calls and meetings, and unscheduled construction noises makes it difficult. On the positive side, the leasing staff is really responsive. Even if they don't provide the answer you want or need, they're at least available, try to be accommodating, and are pleasant to deal with. Overall, it's been ok living here. And my instinct is that the issues I have are probably standard for LA and would likely be replicated at other properties. I moved in during the pandemic. In other circumstances, I would've done more due diligence so I take that into consideration of my experience and still consider it a good decision to lease here.
